Universal Waste "Collecting, Processing & Recycling"
Updated in 2021, this Universal Waste training video program includes recently added EPA aerosol can regulations, which became effective on February 7, 2020. The final rule will affect those who generate, transport, treat, recycle or dispose of hazardous waste aerosol cans. This video instructs your employees and contractors on the steps involved to safely handle and recycle aerosol cans, used batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, lamps, and electronic waste (E-Waste). The training program focuses on the key elements contained in the Federal Universal Waste regulations (40 CFR Part 273) and also covers labeling, response to a release, and transportation to a facility that is permitted or otherwise designated for receiving hazardous waste, like a recycler. Regulations require that materials be managed in a way to prevent releases to the environment and tailors those requirements to each type of universal waste. (19 mins)

California State Specific Universal Waste Training
The Universal Waste regulations in California are more strict and more expansive than those of the US EPA. They are found in two places: the California Code of Regulations (the CCR) and the California Health and Safety Code (the HSC). This program addresses both the Federal regulations and California state specific regulations. The training program contains 2 video versions: "Full Version" (20 mins) and it is supplemented by a shorter and concise "Refresher Version" (13 mins).
