"GHS HazCom Shipping Labels Dissected"
When OSHA amended the Hazard Communication (HazCom) Rule (29 CFR 1910.1200) in 2012, the labels used on shipping containers holding hazardous chemicals were required to change. Several new label elements were added such as Pictograms and Signal Words. The new labels will require that employers show their employees how to read and interpret these new label designs. The wall poster GHS HazCom Shipping Labels Dissected graphically explains each element of the new labels: Pictograms: Hazard Statements, Precautionary Statements, Signal Words, Product Identifier, Supplier Information. The poster even illustrates how DOT labels can fit in.
